The 90s were great times at Disney animation studio, and is known as the Disney Renaissance period. A lot of people that grew up on some of those amazing movies are having kids of their own now. You’ll want to show some of these great movies to your kids of course. But, you might also want to look to them for naming inspiration. Especially if the movie meant something to you growing up.

Another movie franchise in the Marvel universe that has been topping charts lately is Guardians of the Galaxy. If you haven’t seen the second one, it’s as good if not better, than the first. When we were little, a lot of us girls dreamed about being a princess. We watched the Disney movies, we read the fairy-tales and we twirled around in our bedrooms with imaginary princes, or talking mice. Most of those same girls loved dressing up like princesses too, poufy ball gowns, tiaras and wands if we were fairy princesses. And now, you’re pregnant and you’re supposed to be having a little girl. You want her to feel like just as much of a princess as you did!

It may be the middle of summer, (and if you’ve forgotten that the humidity will remind you!) but most college aged freshman have already settled on their schools and are thinking of moving in! Empty nest parents are wondering if it’s too late to have another baby, or maybe they can’t wait to turn Jr’s bedroom into a craft room. Right now, lots of people are thinking about college! If you’re pregnant you’ve probably given it a thought too. Even in the womb parents are already thinking about their babies going to college and becoming successful adults.

Nature names aren’t just for hippies anymore! Baby names based off natural things and places in nature are becoming more popular all the time. We all want our baby’s name to be perfect. There are so many other kids out there; we want our child’s name to be unique, but not ridiculed. So we start looking for inspiration everywhere! Something that we think is under used and underappreciated are tree names! Trees are beautiful, required for life on earth and such a large part of every cultural. What better choice of inspiration!

As we’ve mentioned before, there are more than 10,000 saints in the Christian faith. With so many names and powerful stories behind them we felt like we could use some more for inspiration. Obviously there is religious significance here, but keep in mind that Christians do not worship the saints. They look up to them, they turn to them for strength and inspiration and in some cases they try to mimic their good and serving lifestyle. ven without sharing their faith you can view the saints in a similar light.

Here at nameslist we like the beach. There are oceans and seas all around the world, some cold, some hot…but all unique and beautiful. I’ve never known anyone not to be awed the first time they see the ocean.
